Terry is in his seventeenth year of teaching at Mt. Vernon High School. In addition to his speech and theatre assignments, Terry serves as the UIL coordinator for the district and also coaches girls volleyball. He received his bachelor's degree from UT-Austin and a master's degree in education from Texas A & M Commerce.
At Mt. Vernon, Terry hosts and contest manages for other districts in the area. In the past, he has also taught middle school students. Terry has been very involved in various civic organizations including the Rotary Club and the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.
Terry has presented at UIL Super Conference, UIL Capitol Conference, and TETA. He has directed six shows to the State UIL OAP Meet, winning first in 2000 and 2004. During his summer break, Terry also has worked as a director at the WTAMU Speech/Theatre Camp in Canyon.
