Alisa Mirabella came a very roundabout way to become the new Middle School Interest Chair.
Alisa was bitten by the theatre bug in High School after being a very shy student. Her mother learned about auditions for "Carnival" and literally threatened her into trying out. The rest, as they say is history.
After brief stints at both HB Studios in Greenwich Village, NY and The Boston Conservatory of Music Alisa graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Education and later a Masters of Education degree from The State University of New York. She is certified to teach in 4 states and has taught all grades K-8.
Most currently Ms. Mirabella is teaching at Running Brushy Middle School. RBMS is one of 4 middle schools in Leander ISD. Leander ISD is proud to be the 1st school district to ever recieve the ARTS BASIC AWARD. Here in Leander ISD Alisa worked on curriculumn/ TEKS alignment for the theatre arts department and began the Leander Combined Middle School Musical Program. She is also a regular presenter at the winter convention and is a new fan of the summer workshop program. Miraculously, she has managed to accomplish this while being the mom and chauffeur of two children.
Alisa is very excited to be the new Middle School Interest Chair. Please feel free to contact Alisa with concerns and questions. You may also use this email link to volunteer to present at the summer workshop
