2011-12 SCHOLARS DEBUT PAPERS PROJECT
Theatre Professors: We want your best student papers!
It's near the end of the year when exams are given - and those term papers are due!
This is an invitation for you to submit the best of your student papers for the annual Texas Educational Theatre Association's Scholars Debut Papers Project. Any paper written during 2011 is eligible.
We're looking for short, clearly written, thoughtful papers on any area within the theatre arts. Winning papers will be anonymously chosen by prominent theatre scholars.
The winners receive $200.00 for first prize and $100.00 for second prize. Both winners also receive a complimentary awards reception ticket for the T.E.T.A. THEATREFEST Convention at the Hyatt Regency Houston. The winning papers will be read by the authors at the 2012 T.E.T.A. THEATREFEST Convention.
This competition is an excellent way for students to receive recognition for their work. It also shows the vitality of Texas theatre scholarship and the superlative job teachers at all levels are doing in the twenty-first century!
Please distribute this information to your most promising emerging scholars. Please also note that T.E.T.A. requires that all students submitting papers to the competition must be members of the organization ($20 student fee). Also, please note that the T.E.T.A. deadline is November 23, 2011.
Thank you for your help in distributing this information to your students. T.E.T.A. looks forward to reviewing your students' work.
