DesignFest is open to theatrical designers from every producing theatre in Texas, including professional, high school, college, university, and community theatres. The deadline for entering DesignFest and paying the required fees is December 1.
Where and When?
The designer's work will be on display at the TheatreFest Convention, January 30 - Feb. 2, 2014 at the Hyatt in Dallas.
Who can Enter?
Designers from every producing theatre in Texas, including professional, high school, college, university and community theatres.
Student designers are eligible for cash awards for the purpose of furthering training in their art.
What to Enter?
Models or renderings, costume plates, costumes, lighting designs, sound designs, photographs, accessories, and small props. Each designer is limited to twelve pieces from no more than three productions. Any special display materials needed, such as dress forms, slide projectors, head forms, sound equipment (use headsets only), etc. must be provided by the designer.
How to Enter
You must be a member of TETA (see the membership area of this website for more information) AND pay a $20 entry fee. Send your fee with the Designfest Entry Form located on the documents page of this website.
Every effort will be made to provide proper security at the exhibit. Nevertheless, neither TETA nor its representatives can accept responsibility for the safety of the materials exhibited.
