Texas Theatre Journal

The mission of the Texas Theatre Journal is:

"To publish articles, documents and book reviews relating to theatre and the Performing Arts, with an emphasis on those activities in the State of Texas."

After approval by the Board of Directors in 2004, the editors -- John Hanners of A&M Commerce and James E. Lile, Jr., now of Missouri Southern State University -- assembled an editorial advisory board, a cover designer, a layout designer, and Texas Theatre Journal was on the way.

Articles, essays, interviews, and comment were solicited, assembled and reviewed.

The inaugural issue was printed by the Printing Services of Texas A&M University - Commerce in mid-January 2005 and delivered to adult members registered for the annual convention 26-30 January 2005.

The TTJ is registered with the The Library of Congress' National Serials Data Program and carries the ISSN: 1555-6832.

The TTJ has been listed by subscription agents EBSCO and the German firm Harrassowitz.

Subscriptions for 2006 to date include eight libraries and one individual. An accounting system has been set up for subscriptions. The second issue is well under way and may include publication of TETA student play winners as well as articles vetted by the editorial advisory board.
